About the Author, Edward Massey

Edward Massey, born in the West, educated in the east, lived a career as an entrepreneur. He sees heroic acts in the work of ordinary people. A grandfather, he lives in Connecticut with his wife where he writes every day.

The cover bio reflects a lifetime belief that you are defined by what you do and how you do it. Three years ago Edward created a company focused on transferring wealth from one generation to the next: wealth creation, wealth preservation, and making sure that promises made are kept. Competence, experience, and independent mindedness are critically important in these turbulent times.

Edward currently writes, speaks, advises and consults on investor rights and picking advisors you can trust. He is troubled by the noblesse oblige of the financial community and sees little change in today’s abandonment of Main Street from the themes brought to light by the novel, Telluride Promise.

He wrote the novel because of a lifelong interest in discovering the greatness exhibited in the ordinary act of working every day and the simple act of living up to one’s promise. Growing up in the mountains of Utah formed him, and a willingness to take on the unknown led to participation in American Field Service’s first ever school program and changed his life forever. Yale, University of Munich, Harvard, McKinsey, real estate development, financing the artificial heart, Warburg Pincus, building a home nursing company into an initial public offering, creating an expansion franchise Double – A baseball team, and creating and running family offices for a historically important American family and a major American entrepreneur. Edward brings personal experience with every level of business and society to his consulting and his writing.
